If you love nature and adventure, camping is one of the best ways to enjoy the spectacular scenery and tranquility of mountains, forests or lakes. Romania has plenty of campsites that allow you to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature, whether you prefer organized camping, more upscale glamping or a secluded off-camping spot.
To make your search easier, I made an interactive map of campsites in Romania, where you can see the exact locations and descriptions for each one so you know what to expect. Maybe I can convince you to try this style of discovering Romania, because there's nothing like drinking coffee outside and star-filled skies. Camping Noroc
exact location: Strada Crinului 11A, Săcălășeni, județ Maramureș
generous space for all types of cars and sockets available for motorhomes and lots of room for tents, but the area is quite popular and better book in advance
facilities: a large garden for relaxing, two toilets, two showers, two sinks for dishes and a dishwasher
a campsite with personality, because there is a refurbished traditional cottage in the yard and everything seems like something out of a fairy tale.
approximate price: 40ron/person/night

from here, we hiked all the way to Pietrele Doamnei
approximate price: 25ron/person/night, 20ron/car and 20 ron/tent
Turtle Camp
exact location: Strada Granitului 74, Greci, județ Tulcea
campsite set in a beautiful orchard, medium in size
I recommend calling the number on Facebook because it's very popular and can get quite crowded
facilities: two toilets and a shower in the middle of the orchard, common area and barbecue, two other toilets and two showers at the campsite entrance
approximate price: 20ron/person/night
Pietrele Mariei – off camping
the location is near Pietrele Mariei in the Măcin mountains, more exactly at the entrance of the trail to the Cozluc peak
camping sites are in a small wood
being off camping, it has no facilities and no overnight fee
Vibe Camp
exact location: Valea Lupului, nr. 200, Pătârlagele, județ Buzău
a very large, spacious campsite with a tent and caravan pitches, as well as a glamping area and mini-cottages
if you want to glamping tent or cottage, you must call for reservation, but we, as well, did the same, for our tent on their siteto make sure we have space
Facilities: 4 toilets at the far end, communal seating area with swimming pool, resort restaurant, toilets, showers and dishwashing area and own fishing pond. Bonus they organize bonfires and have a few activities listed on their website (we did one activity with GreenAdventure : kayak and SUP trip on Lake Siriu)
approximate price: 25ron/person/night, 10ron/car and 40 ron/tent
is the closest accommodation to the start of the Moldoveanu Peak trail
there are 3 glamping tents, 2 toilets and a shower, a tent that serves as a kitchen and a common area
approximate price: 200 ron/night/2 persons
Heaven Camping, Bran
locație exactă: Strada Muchia Islazului, Bran
very well-defined campsite: the tent area (which is in an orchard) is separate from the parking area and the motorhome area.
facilities: a huge relaxation area with hammocks, communal barbecue, dining areas, and lots of games and activities for children; shared dishwashing area with 4 sinks, 2 refrigerators, and much more in case you don't have a kitchen with you: 3 extremely clean and well-maintained toilets and 3 showers, and a washing machine
I recommend booking in advance because the area is very popular and can get crowded quickly (you can find the phone number on the website or fill out the form on the site, like I did)
approximate price: 20ron/tent/night, 80ron/person/night and 15 ron/car/day
Făgăraș Fest – off camping
Lacul Bucura – off camping
